At Axel Springer, good corporate governance is considered to be a crucial element of responsible management and control, and is therefore an essential basis for the company’s lasting success. In this regard, we are guided by the German principles of sound corporate management, particularly the German Corporate Governance Code.
We have taken appropriate measures to implement and ensure compliance with the principles of corporate governance. The Corporate Governance Officer is the CFO. The implementation of, and adherence to, the recommendations of the German Corporate Governance Code are reviewed continually.
Axel Springer AG published the Declaration of Conformity in accordance with Section 161 AktG (Stock Corporation Act) on November 7, 2011. The company adheres most closely to the recommendations of the German Corporate Governance Code as amended on May 26, 2010 (published in the official part of the Federal Bulletin (Elektronischer Bundesanzeiger) on July 2, 2010).
