As a Printer you learn how to operate modern rotary printing presses. During the printing process you continually check and measure the print quality, register precision, color values and ink metering. This assumes a technical understanding and enjoyment in handling electronic and mechanical equipment. You have to have the operational sequences of the machines in your head and the measurement and control technology under control.
In your diversified and promising three year vocational training course, you will be dealing among others with the following topics: Preparation of printing presses, operating measurement and control equipment, matching processing properties and quality of printing material, controlling ink feeding, supervising printing presses and production printing, carrying out machine maintenance, producing printing formes and checking print quality.
Do you have at least a lower secondary school-leaving certificate and were you good at German and mathematics in school? Do you also have a basic understanding of technology, a sense of responsibility, fast reactions, as well as very good color vision? If you are also interested in the occupation of Printer and enjoy teamwork, then you should send in your application without fail!

In-service further training to become a Foreman Printer is also possible.
In addition we offer apprentices the opportunity of a scholarship upon the successful completion of their apprenticeship. Our scholarship holders receive a monthly grant and work in the company for three months during the semester breaks. The spectrum of the selected courses of study is large; Business Management, Journalism, Printing Technology, and Communication and Media Science are especially popular for example.
