Axel Springer operates three state-of-the-art offset printing works to print its own newspapers and magazines and holds shares in the rotogravure printing venture Prinovis. The own infrastructure for printing technology and distribution ensures a maximum of flexibility, quality and independence.
The offset printing works in Hamburg-Ahrensburg, Essen-Kettwig and Berlin-Spandau are equipped with the latest technology and supply the core markets of Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia and Berlin. These are the big population centers where a large number of the company’s newspapers are sold. Split runs are also produced by external printing firms in Germany and abroad.
In addition to Axel Springer titles the offset printing works also produce other publishers’ products as a subcontractor. We'll gladly make an offer for your individual needs:
Since 2005 Axel Springer’s rotogravure printing works have been a part of the cooperative venture Prinovis, in which Axel Springer, Arvato and Gruner+Jahr have combined their five German rotogravure printing plants.
A printing plant in Liverpool, Great Britain, started production in 2006 as the sixth location. As Europe‘s largest illustration printing company, Prinovis offers flexible capacities for printing magazines such as HÖRZU, BILD der FRAU or TV DIGITAL.
