Stakeholder Management

The term "stakeholder" comes from the English. The English word "stake" can be translated as "investment", "holder" as "owner".

We refer to the interest groups with which the company has a business or other relationship as stakeholders. These include for example readers, employees, suppliers, shareholders, or also communities and environmental organizations.

Examples of stakeholder interaction with the company are shown in the diagram (Source: Annual Report 2009).

The right menu bar, documents the diversity of active stakeholder contacts – from dialogs with environmental organizations such as Greenpeace to critical issues in the timber, pulp and paper chain, the overcoming of long-standing conflicts in Canadian British Columbia to the public critique at BILD to the participation of readers in the layout of publications.
