Our Scholarship Program has been a successful instrument and an important element of the internal development of junior staff for many years. It follows up the company’s qualified vocational training.
Apprentices, who would like to study after passing their examinations, are eligible to apply for a scholarship. The awarding of the scholarships takes place within an in-house Assessment Center, in which the management is intensively involved.
The spectrum of the courses of study selected is large; experience has shown however that above all Business Management, Media Studies, Printing Technology, Journalism and Communication and Media Science are promoted. In the semester breaks the scholarship holders work in the departments of the publishing and printing facilities. After completing their studies they commit themselves to the company for a minimum of three years.
Special events for scholarship holders allow them additionally to strengthen and develop the networks within the company with the other scholarship holders and also other young executives such as for example the Trainees.
Moreover the education initiative offers scholarship holders a broad range of opportunities for further qualification.
Scholarship holders who maintain close contacts to the company during their studies have the best prospects to subsequently gain specialist and management positions.
