The Share

Indices outperformed: The price of the Axel Springer share increased by 46.0 % in 2009. It closed the year at € 75.05 (year-end 2008: € 51.39), which was not far from its high for the year of € 78.00, reached on November 18, 2009. The share price reached its low for the year on March 19 (€ 46.94). Including the dividend paid in May 2009, Axel Springer’s shareholders earned a total shareholder return of 54.6 %.
