Axel Springer India

Axel Springer has published AUTO BILD in India since 2008 with the India Today Group, the country’s largest magazine publisher. The existing partnership was significantly expanded in 2010 with the joint acquisition of a majority stake in CarWale. Axel Springer holds more than 52 percent of the shares in India’s leading car classifieds portal, the India Today Group holds more than 18 percent. In one of the world’s largest media markets, Axel Springer additionally holds a 19.1 percent share in the Indian lifestyle marketplace Bag It Today.
