"Authoritative and unconventional": Business Insider Germany was launched

To press release overview

Business Insider Germany (www.businessinsider.de) was launched on November 16, 2015. With the new site, the distinctive Business Insider style has come to Germany. The editorial team provides authoritative and entertaining coverage of valuable information from the world of business, avoiding complicated, technical terms and getting straight to the point. Large format pictures and short videos complement the articles.

Editor-in-chief Christin Martens said, "We offer an authoritative and unconventional view of the world of business. In this way, we are not simply fulfilling the boring duty of a chronicler, but are simplifying complex issues and will give a lot of things a try."

For the launch, the editorial team has interviewed Christian Freese, Germany's Head of "Uber," and is presenting an article examining the 25 most challenging questions from job interviews and a report on the reactions of German and international tech companies to the latest terror attacks in Paris. Editor-in-chief Christin Martens explains in her editorial why the launch of Business Insider Germany was not cancelled in the face of the attacks: "We have had extensive internal discussions whether we should postpone. But we decided to go ahead as planned, because otherwise the terror would have succeeded."

Business Insider Germany is produced by a small team that works closely with Business Insider in the United States while creating its own stories with a focus on the German economy. The online publication will be created in Karlsruhe, Germany by finanzen.net, an Axel Springer SE company. Axel Springer acquired a majority interest in Business Insider Inc. at the end of October 2015.

"Audi" and "Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management" (DWS) are the launch advertising partners for the site. Marketing is handled by Media Impact.
