POLITICO launches Pro Financial Services in Europe

To press release overview

New coverage area to focus on European financial services policy and regulation

POLITICO’s European edition, a joint venture by POLITICO and Axel Springer SE, launched today Pro Financial Services, its paid real-time news service for policy professionals. The announcement comes at a time of continued expansion for POLITICO in Europe, which in less than a year has built the largest newsroom covering EU politics and policy in Brussels and was recently ranked the #1 most-read media outlet among EU influencers.

The Pro Financial Services offering builds on the success of POLITICO Pro in Europe, which launched in September 2015 with three coverage areas—Pro Energy, Pro Health Care and Pro Technology. Since its launch, POLITICO Pro has built a subscription readership base of tens of thousands of European policy professionals from more than 200 subscriber organizations, including government institutions, corporations, consultancies, associations and NGOs. Pro Agriculture & Food and Pro Trade will launch in June 2016.

A POLITICO Pro Financial Services subscription includes an early morning Pro version of Francesco Guerrera’s Morning Exchange newsletter with a calendar of events and additional insights policy professionals need to start their day; in-depth online articles with analysis and forward-looking insight; and real-time, customizable breaking news alerts covering the complex world of financial policy and regulation. Pros also receive POLITICO’s weekly Brussels Influence newsletter and priority access to our news-making events. Pro subscription rates are based on the subscriber organization’s number of users and number of policy areas.

Based in Brussels, the European edition of POLITICO covers the politics, policy and personalities of the European Union. The publication also has reporting assets in key capitals across Europe, making it the first publication to truly connect the dots between the continent’s biggest power players. Its journalism lives online at POLITICO.eu; through daily newsletters, such as Ryan Heath’s POLITICO Brussels Playbook, Francesco Guerrera’s Morning Exchange and Florian Eder’s Morgen Europa; in print via a weekly newspaper distributed in Brussels, Berlin, Paris, London, Frankfurt and Luxembourg; and through newsmaking events.
