Sabrina Hoffmann to become new editor-in-chief of Business Insider Germany

Effective October 1st, 2016, Sabrina Hoffmann, 31, will assume editorial responsibility for Business Insider Germany as editor-in-chief. Sabrina has been with the site since June 2016 as deputy editor-in-chief. Previously, she oversaw The Huffington Post Germany’s social media engagement. She was also a member of the brand’s editorial founding team in Germany. Sabrina succeeds Christin Martens, 39, who will leave Business Insider after one year developing the outlet as founding editor-in-chief.

Business Insider Germany was launched on November 16, 2015. With the new site, the distinctive Business Insider style with its unique storytelling way was brought to Germany. The editorial team provides authoritative and entertaining coverage of valuable information from the world of business. It currently reaches an audience of 7.79 million people (IVW 08/2016). The online publication is created in Karlsruhe by finanzen.net, an Axel Springer SE company. Axel Springer acquired a majority interest in Business Insider Inc. at the end of October 2015.
