Axel Springer is taking a further step in its international digitization offensive with the launch of www.autobild.com.cn as the first online edition of AUTO BILD in China. Outblaze, the worldwide leading online service platform headquartered in Hong Kong, was won as local technology partner.

Alongside exclusive local and international AUTO BILD content, the Chinese AUTO BILD portal includes a large number of Web 2.0 elements made up of community elements in particular, as well as individual profiles, blogs, forums, photo galleries and videos. AUTO BILD ONLINE China is rounded off with an auto database supplemented with animated 3D models picturing almost 100 percent of the Chinese purchasing market. With its innovative content the auto portal serves the specific requirements of the Chinese Internet user geared towards interaction and entertainment.

In the foreground of his new position in China are the development and marketing of the new AUTO BILD ONLINE activities, as well as targeting opportunities for expansion on the Chinese media market.

autobild.de is Germany's leading editorial auto portal and according to the latest AGOF Internet facts 2008-II study has 930,000 unique users. In page impressions, the portal was clicked on more frequently than ever before in September 2008 according to IVW: At more than 4.7 million visits the site showed growth of 17 percent in comparison to the previous month, and as much as 39 percent compared to the previous year. AUTO BILD, the automobile magazine with the highest worldwide circulation is read by around 40 million readers globally and is now published in a total of 34 countries.
